What is the purpose of Friends and Family Day?

Friends and Family Day is an event commonly hosted by religious organizations during which members of the church's congregation are encouraged to invites as many friends and family members as possible to join them for church. Friends and Family Day is also celebrated by organizations such as universities and businesses.

In churches, Friends and Family Day is used to not only invite people to the church to hear the teachings of Christianity, but also to help court new prospective members to join the church. In universities and business organizations, Friends and Family Day helps familiarize students' or employees' family members with the work they perform in the classroom or company.
