Ragdoll kittens have quiet, docile personalities, and they normally get along well with children, adults and other animals. A ragdoll kitten's pointed color can be seal, lilac, blue or chocolate, but its hind legs are completely white.

Ragdoll kittens have affectionate, easy-going personalities, and they are trainable and not overly demanding. The breed is known for its enthusiasm for food. Most ragdoll kittens have a body color that is a shade lighter than their point color, but this breed does not have any white patches.

Different theories surround the history of the ragdoll breed and Josephine, its foundation cat. The International Ragdoll Cat Association was officially formed in 1971.
