Rates and fees for MoneyGram vary depending on the country where the customer is sending funds, the transfer amount and the exchange rate. Same-day transfer fees start at $15 to $20 for express same-day transfers and $8 to $10 for regular economy transfers as of 2015.

Fees for larger transfer amounts can range from 7 percent to 10 percent of the amount if the customer is paying in person. Online transfer fees range from 1.5 percent to 3 percent, depending on the destination country. When converting to a different currency, the rate is generally slightly more expensive than market rate; MoneyGram keeps the difference as a fee in addition to the transfer fees.
