RCI Weeks vacation ownership packages include a seven night vacation in a specific location with the ability to trade the vacation week for another destination or a cruise. Members who trade destinations receive a deposit credit for less expensive locations and pay an additional deposit for more expensive ones.
RCI Weeks is a timeshare or vacation ownership program that offers condominium-like arrangements in desired destinations in the United States and abroad. Timeshare owners receive a seven night vacation in the rental property they own. As of 2015, RCI guarantees members the ability to select a property from over 35,000 vacation options after registering and making a deposit.
Owners also have the ability to exchange their week for a vacation at another destination from the list whenever they like, giving them greater flexibility than some other timeshare companies. In addition to the 35,000 vacation properties, RCI also offers thousands of cruise vacation options for members to use in lieu of their vacation property. For trades that have a lower value than the deposit, owners are able to use their deposit credit towards another vacation. If participants own multiple timeshares, deposits can be combined for a more expensive destination.
If a destination is located in an all-inclusive resort, the deposit does not cover resort fees. Travel costs, taxes and other related charges are also not included in RCI Weeks vacation ownership. Vacation dates and availability are on a first-come, first-served basis.
