Is there a recall on GE dehumidifiers?

In 2014, two separate recalls on GE dehumidifiers which were done through Gree and Midea on specific models. The Gree recall occurred on Jan. 30, 2014, and involved at least 350,000 separate units that were manufactured between the beginning of 2008 and the end of 2010.

The Gree recall was made due to reports of machines overheating, generating smoke and catching on fire, though no injuries were reported. The Midea recall was made only on GE dehumidifiers that were produced between the months of January and April in 2010. This recall applied to approximately 15,500 machines with specific model and serial numbers.
