No official recall has been made on Canine Carry Out snacks, as of September 2015. The brand has been subject to a series of social media scare campaigns highlighting one of its listed ingredients as dangerous, but while the ingredient in question is present, it is well within FDA limits.
The ingredient that has caused concern on some segments of social media is propylene glycol, a legal chemical enhancement that acts as antifreeze and is present in many human and animal foodstuffs. FDA advice suggests that it is safe up to concentrations of 5 percent in the diet, and the quantity in Canine Carry Out snacks is well below this, so there has been no need for a recall.
