Are recorder lessons available for kids?

Sandyn.com provides online recorder lessons for kids, written by elementary music teacher Dr. Sandra Nelson; 8Notes.com provides additional recorder songs for all levels. Nelson's lessons include learning finger positions, reading notes on the staff and learning to play short sample songs.

On Sandyn.com, clicking Teachers on the top navigation bar and clicking Play Recorder displays the lessons, directions for use and additional resources. Each lesson includes a graphic of the fingering for each new note, along with downloadable PDF and MIDI files for sample songs. Dr. Nelson provides additional resources on the history of the recorder, reading music on the staff and extra songs.
