What are some red, semi-sweet wines?

Some red, semi-sweet wines are moscato, cesanese, saperavi, merlot and alazani. Some of these wines can be blended with others to create semi-sweet table wines. Generally, semi-sweet red wines have less tannin. Tannins give wine the sensation of being dry.
Moscato is made from the muscat grape and can range from white to deep red. Black Muscat is known as a dessert wine. Cesanese wines from Italy are best enjoyed while they're young. Saperavi wines are from the country of Georgia. Alazani is also a semi-dry/semi-sweet wine from the region. Merlot, with its high sugar content and low tannins, can be served as a single varietal or blended with more robust wines like cabernet sauvignon.
