To redeem airline miles for merchandise, log in to your mileage program account, look for a section marked Redeem Miles or Awards, and browse the listings to find available merchandise. Add items to your shopping cart, and use your available miles to pay at checkout.

On United Airlines, MileagePlus members can purchase merchandise in the Merchandise Awards & Auctions section. On Delta Airlines, members can redeem miles for products in the SkyMiles Marketplace. For some airlines, including American Airlines, award merchandise is limited to gift cards, newspapers and magazines. For customers with an insufficient amount of miles, the airline may allow a combination of miles and money to pay for merchandise.
