Regional Acceptance Corporation is an affiliate of BB&T and has specialized in national auto financing for over 35 years, as of 2015, according to the corporation's official website. The corporation is headquartered in Greenville, North Carolina.

Regional Acceptance has over 27 regional business centers and three customer service centers in 32 states. They offer indirect financing to both sub-prime and prime customers, as well as providing portfolio acquisitions. Additionally, Regional Acceptance works with a network of 8,000 dealers through which they deliver quick funding.

Regional Acceptance's parent company, BB&T, is one of the largest financial holding companies in the United States, headquartered in Salem, North Carolina.
