To remove Delta Search, uninstall the program from the Windows Control Panel, and then reset your Web browser's default settings, which includes extensions and add-ons. To check for remnants of the software, scan your computer using anti-malware, anti-virus and anti-adware programs.
- Remove the program from your computer
Click on the Start button in the Windows taskbar, and select Control Panel from the menu. In Windows 8, swipe in from the right side of the screen, tap the Search icon and type "Control Panel." From the menu, select Programs followed by Uninstall a Program or Add/Remove Programs. Locate Delta Toolbar in the list of applications, click on it once, and press the Uninstall button. Also look for and remove Delta Chrome Toolbar, BitGuard and Browser Protect.
- Restore the defaults in Internet Explorer
Tap on the Gear icon, and select Internet Options. Navigate to the Advanced tab, and press the Reset button. Check the box Delete Personal Settings, and press the Reset button. Close and restart the browser.
- Restore the defaults in Firefox
Click on the Menu icon and then the Help icon. Click on the Troubleshooting Information link, and press Refresh Firefox.
- Restore the defaults in Chrome
Click on the Menu icon, and select Settings. Scroll to the bottom of the page, and select Show Advanced Settings. Press the Reset browser button and then Reset to confirm.
