To remove glue leftover from stickers, soak a cotton swab or pad in rubbing alcohol and use it to work away the glue. Vinegar or baking soda mixed with cooking oil can also remove sticky residue from hard surfaces.
To remove sticker glue from a hard surface such as glass or plastic, use the following steps.
- Work the glue away with rubbing alcohol
- Work vinegar into the area
- Apply a baking soda scrub
Rub the glue away with a cotton pad soaked in rubbing alcohol. The alcohol does not harm the skin and can dissolve sticker glue.
For stubborn sticker glue on surfaces such as porcelain, glass or wood, dilute some vinegar in water and soak a sponge or cloth in the mixture.
If any glue remains, make a baking soda scrub out of equal parts baking soda and cooking oil. Leave the scrub on the area for up to 30 minutes and then scrub it away with steel wool.
