How often are representatives elected?

Representatives to the U.S. House of Representatives are elected every two years. This means that all representative seats are up for election at the same time, both in the years of presidential elections and in the midterm election years.
In order to seek a seat in the House of Representatives, a person must be a citizen of the United States for at least seven years and a resident of the state he wishes to represent. The minimum age for a representative is 25. In comparison, senators have six-year terms, so only approximately one-third of the Senate is up for election in any election year. Neither representatives nor senators have term limits, meaning they can run as many times as they wish.
