The Concord rest area outside Charlotte, the Davie County I-40 near Salem and the Granville County I-85 are some of the many rest areas available in North Carolina. An extensive network of rest areas is available all over the state.
There are dozens of different rest areas scattered around the State of North Carolina. Several Welcome Centers, such as the centers located in Surry County, on I-77 or on the Haywood County I-40, provide facilities including public restrooms, vending machines and public telephones. Many rest areas have also facilities for the disabled and picnic areas. Most have large and convenient parking areas for cars, trailers and trucks.
