How do you restart your computer?

To restart a Windows computer, click on the Start button, the Shut Down button and finally the Restart menu option; and to restart an Apple computer, click the Apple logo followed by the Restart menu option. Alternatively, tapping the power button brings up the Shut Down menu on some laptops.

If the Windows computer has frozen, holding the Ctrl, Alt and Delete keys simultaneously might bring up the Task Manager program, which provides access to the Shut Down menu. If the computer doesn't respond to any input, holding the power button down for approximately 10 seconds typically turns off power to the system.
