Does reverse osmosis remove fluoride?

According to The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), reverse osmosis is a very effective way to remove fluoride from drinking water. Reverse-osmosis systems can be purchased for home use.
When buying a reverse-osmosis system to remove fluoride from your tap or well water, you will need to ensure it meets the National Sanitation Foundation's (NSF) criteria for the removal of fluoride. Although no device will remove 100 percent of existing fluoride, if the system complies with NSF's Standard 58, it will eliminate 80 percent of fluoride from the water. Water with fluoride concentrations under 4 milligrams per litre is considered safe for drinking.
