The rheumatoid factor blood test can determine whether or not a patient has the rheumatoid factor antibody in his blood. Approximately 70 to 90 percent of patients with rheumatoid arthritis have the rheumatoid factor in their blood, states WebMD. Doctors may also order the anti-CCP blood test in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. They use this blood test to determine how severe a person's disease may become.
