What is a robot sweeper?

A robot sweeper, or robot vacuum cleaner, is a motorized device that sweeps and vacuums without the manually guidance of a human being. A robot sweeper cleans a floor or a rug under its own power, allowing the machine's owner to avoid wasting time vacuuming.

Robots sweepers operate by means of sensors. These electronic sensors help the device travel around a room without banging into obstacles such as stairs, furniture and baseboards. The machines have a strong suction force that pulls debris into the bottom of the device. Many robot sweepers come with a docking station for recharging their batteries.
