Are rolling ladders safer than standard ladders?

Rolling ladders are generally considered safer than standard folding or step ladders since they are more stable and can roll from area to area instead of being carried. Many rolling ladder designs also incorporate safety rails to reduce the chance of users falling off the ladder.
Despite their additional safety features, it is still possible to fall from a rolling ladder and sustain severe or even fatal injuries. Rolling ladders should never be moved while someone is on the ladder, and rolling ladders that have folding stairs must be securely locked into placed before use. Over-reaching at the top of a rolling ladder can also cause the ladder to tip over and should be avoided.
