What is a Roundhead Rooster?

The Roundhead is a breed of rooster, considered to be of Asian origin. Its eyes are red, with black spurs and peacombs, but its legs can be either white or yellow.

Averaging four to six pounds, the Roundhead is a medium-sized gamefowl. This cock is a smart fighter prized for its agility and its side stepping evasion trait. It possesses a vast amount of leg power and is generally a fast cutter and is very aggressive. This rooster variety pairs well with the Clarets, Butchers, Hatches and Greys hens, but it can be tricky to condition for fighting, as it reaches maturity early and peaks as a stag quickly.
