What's the difference between Perrier mineral water and other bottled water?
By Forinfos - 13/12/2025 - 0 comments
Perrier differs from standard bottled water because it contains naturally occurring carbonation from its source in Vergèze, France. The actual bottle that Perrier comes in is made from 100-percent recycled glass.
The water and the carbon dioxide gas from the Vergèze spring get captured separately. After the water gets filtered, the gas is added to it to match the natural level of carbonation in the spring. In 1898, Dr. Louis Perrier gained ownership of the spring, and his name became associated with the water from it. As of 2015, the Nestle corporation owns the Perrier brand. The water comes in many different flavors, including lemon, peppermint and ginger-cherry.
