Is it safe to continue driving when a malfunction indicator is lit?
By Forinfos - 29/10/2025 - 0 comments
The malfunction indicator light that comes on is merely a way of letting the driver know that car service may be required. It is not a requirement to stop driving immediately.
If there are no additional warning lights and the engine continues to run normally, the malfunction is probably minor and will not impede the driver's ability to continue driving. If the malfunction indicator begins to flash, it is a sign that the issue may harm parts of the vehicle. Otherwise, if the light stays on consistently or intermittently, a visit to a local mechanic should be scheduled to diagnose the cause of the malfunction.
