Where is the safety on a Hi Point model 995?

The safety on a Hi Point model 995 is located at top of left of the grip. Sliding the safety lever upward and into the notch engages safely. Sliding it down and out of the notch disengages the safety and places rifle in the firing position.

The Hi Point 995 Carbine is a 9-millimeter rifle that is available under several models, including the TS, 4x, RGB, RD and LAZ. All models measure 31 inches, weigh 6.25 pounds and incorporate a 16.5-inch barrel. The body stock is made from all-weather, black molded polymer, and each rifle features a standard 10-shot magazine.
