Which sandwiches did Elvis Presley make famous?

Fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches were a favorite of the American singer and movie star Elvis Presley. Elvis was famous for his voracious appetites for many things, and this decadent sandwich combination is a reflection of that appetite.

Similar sandwiches are sometimes listed on restaurant menus with some kind of reference to Elvis in their name. A slight variation on this sandwich is the Fool's Gold sandwich, which Elvis first ate in a Denver, Colorado restaurant. The recipe calls for an entire loaf of Italian bread, an entire jar each of peanut butter and jelly and one pound of bacon.
