The Santa Rita Jail is an Alameda County facility that is located on Broder Boulevard in Dublin, California, according to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office. Dublin is in the Bay Area, at the crossroads of Interstates 580 and 680, according to the city's official website.

The Santa Rita Jail is the third largest in California and holds about 4,000 inmates on a 113-acre campus as of 2015, notes the Alameda County Sheriff's Office. The current facility opened in 1989 and features 18 housing units serving male and female inmates, as well as a robotic system to move mail, food and laundry around the facility.
