How does a semi-hermetic compressor work?
By Forinfos - 12/02/2025 - 0 comments
A semi-hermetic compressor increases the pressure of refrigerant gas and transports it through a pipe while simultaneously reducing the volume of the gas, resulting in desired cooling in refrigeration applications. Semi-hermetic compressors are frequently used in air-conditioning and refrigeration.
There are three major compressors used for refrigeration: hermetic, semi-hermetic and open compressors. A semi-hermetic compressor has casings that are sealed rather than welded. The benefits of this type of compressor is that it is easier to service and replace the individual motor and pump components than other compressors, and it is harder for gas to find a route to leak out of the system.
