How do you get Sharpie out of clothes?

To remove a Sharpie stain, wet the stain, and use a stain remover-soaked paper towel to rub the stain out. You need water, paper towels, and either hairspray, rubbing alcohol or milk.

1. Check the manufacturing label

   Read the manufacturing label for restrictions on stain removers as well as specific instructions on removing a stain. If the label does not give instructions, test the stain remover on a hidden area first.

2. Wet the stain, and lay it face down on paper towels

   Use water to wet the stain. Place paper towels on a hard surface. Place the stain face down on the paper towels, and press down firmly.

3. Apply the stain remover to the stain

   Wet a clean paper towel with your choice of stain remover. Rub the paper towel on the underside of the affected area until the stain disappears.
