What should consumers know about buying an SUV backup camera?
By Forinfos - 13/09/2025 - 0 comments
Adding a backup camera to a vehicle is quite simple and fairly inexpensive, with average costs ranging from $15 to $300 depending on whether the vehicle already has a dashboard screen. Drivers should not rely solely on the camera and should continue using mirrors and windows while backing up.
Backup cameras do not require much maintenance beyond a periodic wipe down to remove grime or other accumulated matter that may prevent a clear view. As of 2015, many auto insurers do not offer lower rates for cars equipped with backup cameras, even though there is evidence that they decrease the frequency of accidents.
