Should a new Tax Act account be created every tax year?

Consumers do not have to create a new TaxACT account every tax year. In fact, TaxACT offers a Data Archive Services that gives users the opportunity to access tax returns from up to three prior years. Users can also start new tax returns by logging in to their account.
TaxACT also gives users the ability to import information from the last year's tax return. This information can include the user's employer, life events, filing status and dependent information. There are three ways that users can import the last year's tax return: using their TaxACT Online account, using the TaxACT desktop software or importing from a PDF.
