How often should a woman cut her hair?

The frequency of women's hair cuts depends to a large extent on hair length. Shorter styles are cut more often to maintain their shape. In general, hair styles are refreshed every four to 12 weeks.
Short hair is cut every four to six weeks to keep up the style. If hair is being grown out, that time lengthens to six to 12 weeks. Medium-length hair needs a trim every six to eight weeks, but that extends to eight to 12 weeks if it is being grown out. Long hair is usually able to go eight to 12 weeks between haircuts. However, if hair breaks a great deal or has split ends, it might need to be cut after six to eight weeks.
