What are some shrubs that produce red berries in the fall?

Winterberry holly, nandina and American cranberrybushes are all shrubs that produce red berries throughout the fall and winter. Nandina shrubs produce huge clusters of long-lasting berries that are widely used in holiday decorating.
Winterberry holly requires acidic soil and grows best in areas with plenty of sunlight. Nandina, which is also known as heavenly bamboo or sacred bamboo, is a flowering plant native to East Asia. Despite its use as a holiday decoration, all parts of the nandina plant are toxic and can be potentially fatal if ingested. The fruits of the American cranberrybush are not cranberries but can be eaten raw or cooked into a sauce.
