The side effects of Clavamox in pets include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, allergic reaction and loss of appetite. Clavamox may also react with other drugs, such as antacids, tetracycline, erythromycin, chloramphenicol and other types of penicillin.
Clavamox is a drug used in dogs and cats to help in treating bacterial infections. It is a combination of two drugs, namely clavulanic acid and amoxicillin. Amoxicillin helps in inhibiting stomach acid and killing bacteria. It is commonly used to treat infections caused by wounds and cuts. Clavulanic acid helps to stop the mechanism that different bacteria use to act against amoxicillin, as stated by PetMD.
