Goji berries can interact with the blood thinner warfarin, as well as some diabetes and blood pressure drugs, reports WebMD. Patients who take these drugs should consult with a doctor before consuming goji-based products. Açaí berries are generally safe to consume, but studies on potential side effects are limited as of 2015. Açaí may interfere with cancer treatments and could interact with over-the-counter pain medications such as ibuprofen.
