What is a SIG P226?

The SIG P226 is a pistol designed by the SIG SAUER company. Intended to replace the 1911, the P226 is used by law enforcement agencies such as the Michigan State Police, the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Texas Rangers, as well as U.S. Navy SEALS. It weighs 36 ounces.

Available in 9mm, .40 S&W and .357 SIG, the pistol is well-balanced, ergonomic and easy to handle. The pistol's longer barrel allows for improved accuracy and ballistic performance.
