What is Sikkens deck stain?

Sikkens deck stain, labeled as Sikkens Wood Finish, is a transparent or semi-transparent oil-based stain for exterior wooden surfaces, such as decks, railings and outdoor furnishings. The active ingredient in Sikkens stain is Cetol, which coats wood pores to reduce wear and create a long-lasting protection.

The finish by Sikkens uses iron oxide pigmentation to provide UV protection at the same time it gives a transparent or semi-transparent top coat to wooden surfaces. The product may be applied to the deck or other wooden material by brush, roller or paint sprayer, and it is available in a variety of tints.
