What are some simple ways to repair an LCD screen?

Scratched LCD screens may be repaired using a pencil eraser, rubbing alcohol, petroleum jelly or a commercial scratch repair kit. A stuck pixel my be repaired by gently rubbing the screen, using a pixel repair program or buying hardware designed to fix dead pixels.

To repair a scratched LCD screen with a pencil eraser, first clean the screen with a damp, soft, lint-free cloth. After the screen dries, gently buff the area along the longest area of the scratch using a clean, soft pencil eraser. To repair a stuck pixel, wrap a narrow, blunt instrument in a soft cloth, and gently rub the area over the stuck pixel.
