What is a small orange fruit called?

A small orange fruit is either a clementine or a tangerine, depending on its appearance and flavor. Clementines are smaller and glossier in appearance while tangerines are brighter in color with rougher skin and a sweeter flavor.
Clementines are a hybrid between mandarin oranges and sweet oranges while tangerines are a close relative to mandarin oranges without being a hybrid. At first glance, they are very similar in appearance as both are small and orange; however, they are easily distinguishable at a second glance by their differences in skin texture and flavor. Both are a great source of vitamin C and beta-carotene.
