As of 2011, about 360,000 babies are born every day worldwide, according to Ecology Communications Group. The daily births amount to 15,000 per hour. More than 4 million babies are born in the United States each year as of 2010, notes BabyCenter.
The most U.S. babies are born on Tuesdays, with Mondays second, reports BabyCenter. Sunday has the lowest number of births at 35 percent below average. Scheduled births account for few births happening on weekends. However, natural births also occur less frequently during weekends. September is the busiest U.S. birth month as of 2010, followed by August, June and July. The states with the highest number of babies born include California, Texas and New York.
