The Legal Information Institute maintained by Cornell University provides access to U.S. law. On the LII's website, users can find the federal Constitution, U.S. Code and Code of Federal Regulations, among other documents.
Other sites provide access to specific resources. The House of Representatives' Office of the Law Revision Counsel offers the U.S. Code with a search function and a citation lookup tool. The Government Printing Office provides eCFR , an electronic version of the C.F.R. that has browse and search features. Pending Congressional legislation is available on Congress.gov, a website maintained by the Library of Congress. Many law school libraries, such as the University of Washington Law Library, maintain helpful research guides that include links to a variety of free sources of federal law.
