Are there any specials tools for repairing vacuum hoses?

Repairing a vacuum hose requires a broom pole, chalk, a sharp knife and duct tape. A vacuum hose often needs repairs when a leak causes the vacuum to lose suction. The leak must be repaired to keep the vacuum functioning efficiently.
If the leak is close to the end of the hose, it can be repaired by cutting the tube above the leak and reconnecting the plastic connector to the new end of the tube. Otherwise, use the broom handle to stretch out the tube to pinpoint the leak. The leak can then be repaired by placing duct tape over the hole and removing the broom handle from the tube.
