Hahnemann University Hospital specialties include nephrology, oncology, cardiology and heart surgery, diabetes and endocrinology, and neurology and neurosurgery. Orthopedics, gynecology, urology, geriatrics and pulmonology are other specialties. U.S. News & World Report ranked nephrology in the top 50 in the country and the others as national high performers in 2014.

Two more specialties that received national high performer rank are ear, nose and throat, and gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery. The hospital has a stroke center, occupational health services and a travel health center as of 2015. Hahnemann is also a regional trauma center and has a MedEvac program to transport patients by air.
