Can you hunt at the Kavik River Camp?
By Forinfos - 29/05/2026 - 0 comments
Kavik River Camp offers a base from which hunters can undertake self-guided hunts. The camp does not provide guide services, however, and hunters must obtain the licenses and tags they need before they arrive at the camp.
Kavik River Camp is located in a valley where caribou herds migrate. Hunters have used the camp as a base for self-guided hunts. The camp's website says, though, that the camp does not sell hunting licenses and tags. It refers prospective hunters to the website of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game for information about tags, licenses and limits. Hunters are responsible for the care and transport of their meat and trophies.
