Perhaps the most intriguing part of Tom Brady's background is that the star quarterback passed up a professional baseball career to attend the University Of Michigan. After starring in baseball at Junipero Serra High School in California, the Montreal Expos selected Brady in the 18th round of the 1995 draft.

Even after Brady left for Ann Arbor, Montreal continued to court the star catcher but, sensing his commitment to football and going to school, never offered to pay him to sign.

After a standout career at Michigan, Brady was selected in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots.
