What is Squad 51 from the show "Emergency?"

Squad 51 is one of the trucks used as a rescue squad vehicle during the filming of the "Emergency!" television show. Squad 51 is a Dodge D-300 truck from 1972 and was built from scratch to match specifications from the Los Angeles County Fire Department during the show's filming.

Squad 51 was an active service vehicle after its appearances on "Emergency!" and served as part of the LACOFD's reserve paramedic vehicle fleet. The vehicle was donated to the County of Los Angeles Fire Museum in 1999 and was restored to become a part of an exhibit alongside Engine 51, another service vehicle used in "Emergency!"
