Why has Starkist tuna been recalled?

StarKist tuna has not been recalled. Two StarKist fish-fillet products -- Thai with Basil, and Teriyaki Orange and Ginger -- were recalled in 2010 due to an undeclared allergen on the ingredients list.
The two Starkist fish-fillet products were recalled voluntarily by StarKist because they had not included wheat on the ingredients list. Other Starkist products, including StarKist tuna, were correctly labelled and were not included in the recall.
A recall of the Chicken of the Sea brand tuna was recently announced in 2015 by Tri-Union Seafoods. This was due to the products possibly containing pieces of metal from broken machinery.
