What are studio apts (apartments)?

A studio apartment is a single-person residence that typically does not have a bedroom that is separate from the main living area. It is also smaller than a conventional single apartment. Saving money and limited space requirements are common reasons people choose a studio apartment over other options.

A studio apartment consists of one central room and often has a bathroom and a kitchenette, or small kitchen area. In some complexes, residents share a bathroom and shower space with others on the same floor. Because of the open living space, a resident usually sets up a bedroom in the same space as the living area.
