What is a Studor valve?
By Forinfos - 23/03/2026 - 0 comments
A Studor valve is an air admittance valve used to replace complex and expensive open pipe vent systems that penetrate roofs in buildings. These vents are used to allow air to enter the vent and plumbing drainage waste system and equalize the pressure as water drains out, notes IPS Corporation.
The Studor valve maintains the integrity of a water trap so it stops sewer gases from entering buildings through the fixture drains. STUDOR, INC is a distributor for the Studor brand of air admittance valves used in the major plumbing industries in Puerto Rico, Mexico, Canada and the United States.
