The Tabernacle in the Wilderness, also known as the "Tabernacle" and the "Tabernacle of Moses," was a portable temple created by the biblical Israelites. God ordered Moses to build the Tabernacle during his revelation on Sinai.

The name "Tabernacle in the Wilderness" describes both the Tabernacle itself and the compound surrounding it. The outer walls of the compound were 75 feet by 150 feet and were made of linen and supported by poles. The Tabernacle proper was a two-chamber tent, 15 feet by 45 feet, made from skins atop a gold-inlaid acacia-wood frame. The front chamber of the Tabernacle was a place of worship, while the rear chamber contained only the Ark of the Covenant.
