What are Echostar remote codes?

Echostar codes are used to program the remote to control the television. This allows the remote to control the television functions.

Echostar remotes can control commands for the TV which include the power on, power off and volume functions. With a few button presses, all functions can be handled through one remote control.

Step 1: Point the two remotes facing each other

Place both the Echostar and TV remote on a flat surface with the tops toward each other.

Step 2: Prepare the Echostar for adding the code

Press the down arrow and "OK" key at the same time. Release the buttons when the light remains on.

Step 3: Choose the button to be programmed

Press the button on both remotes. When the light flashes, release the button.

Step 4: Continue the procedure for all buttons

Once all buttons have been programmed, press "OK" and wait for the light to flash.
