Faith Hill was born in 1967 in Jackson, Mississippi. She began her career in the music industry as a receptionist for a music publishing company. Hill married her first husband, music publishing executive and songwriter Daniel Hill, in 1988, and they divorced in 1994. She met Tim McGraw in spring 1996 when they went on the joint concert tour Spontaneous Combustion. In 2000, she and McGraw went on a second tour, Soul2Soul.
